This document is often issued by both the transport operator and the shipper and has the following characteristics: <\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Transportation Document:<\/strong> The bill of lading contains detailed information of the shipment (such as the material transported, quantity, carrier and destination).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proof of Receipt:<\/strong> Indicates that the carrier has received the goods and has started shipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certificate of Ownership:<\/strong> The bill of lading indicates who has title to the goods. Usually, the person in possession of the original bill of lading has the right to take delivery of the goods. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"types-of-bills-of-lading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types_of_Bills_of_Lading\"><\/span><strong>Types of Bills of Lading<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bills of lading can be issued in different types according to the purpose of use and method of transportation. The main types of bills of lading are as follows: <\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Straight Bill of Lading:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The goods are delivered to a specific recipient and the identity of that recipient is specified in the document. It is not transferable. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Order Bill of Lading:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This type of bill of lading offers the possibility to transfer ownership rights.
